Italian Egg Rolls were something that I created one evening when we were trying to decide what to eat. I don’t really like to turn on the oven during the summer months, and I’m not a big fan of deep frying foods. It’s not for health reasons. It’s because it seems so time consuming, and I didn’t feel like standing over the stove while the egg rolls fried. I really wanted to make egg rolls, so I decided to try making these Italian egg rolls with the air fryer. The result was delicious, though the recipe did require some experimentation […]
Smokies in a Blanket are a great snack for the kids, or for a group of friends. They are very simple to prepare, and they are fairly frugal. It cost a total of $4.86 to purchase all of the ingredients for this recipe. We don’t even use all of the Little Smokies for the recipe, so the cost per Smokie in a Blanket is only about 16 cents. That makes this an inexpensive snack or appetizer, and even though they are made with some prepared ingredients, Smokies in a Blanket are much more economical than purchasing a box […]
I love hot and creamy dips. This recipe for Hot Shrimp and Artichoke Dip is simple, amazing, and very easy to make. It’s a variation on my slow cooker spinach artichoke dip, but it ‘s made in the oven. Of course, it’s winter, so I don’t mind turning on the oven, In the summer I might have a different opinion.
Four Layer Shrimp Dip is one of those simple recipes that can be thrown together at the last minute when you’re expecting guests. The best part about Four Layer Shrimp Dip is that it’s so tasty no one will suspect that it’s so easy to make.
Baker’s Man and I both love my Stuffed Mushrooms recipe, but I was wondering if there was another way to prepare them. I decided to see if it was possible to create Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms. The result was wonderful. It was different than the original version in spite of almost identical ingredients, but it was still delicious. It’s good to know that if my oven is otherwise occupied, I can make stuffed mushrooms in my slow cooker.
Do you love that creamy, hot spinach and artichoke dip that is available as an appetizer in so many restaurants? This creamy dip tastes better, and it’s made entirely in a slow cooker. It’s so simple and delicious, you will find that you don’t need a special occasion to make it. Served with tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa, this is a definite crowd pleaser. It’s sure to become a family favorite.
This is my family’s favorite version of Buffalo Chicken Dip. It’s mild, creamy, delicious, and quite possibly addictive. The best part is that you simply throw everything in the slow cooker and give it a stir halfway through the cooking time and a few minutes before serving. Its very easy to make this Buffalo Chicken Dip in the slow cooker.
These bacon wrapped jalapenos are so delicious that they should be outlawed. The fact that they can be assembled a day ahead so that all you need to do on serving day is to pop them into the oven makes them perfect for any get together. These are great as an appetizer for a family meal and are the perfect game time snack.
The idea for this recipe came from the produce guy who sells fresh fruits and vegetables out of the back of his truck. As I was buying jalapenos for my husband, he inquired what I planned to do with them. I told him that I planned to fill them with cream cheese and bacon then bake them. He told me that my recipe sounded delicious, but asked if I had ever filled jalapenos with tuna. I told him no, and he urged me to try it. This recipe is the result of his suggestion, and it came out very well […]
This recipe is my way of simplifying a baked stuffed jalapeno recipe. The original recipe was given to me by a co-worker. She instructed me to cut the peppers in half lengthwise, clean out the seeds and veins, and then fill them with cream cheese. These filled pepper halves were then wrapped with one-third to one-half of a slice of bacon. Then they are baked until the bacon is crispy and crumbly, and the cheese is warm and gooey. They are delicious, too. Unfortunately, they take a while to wrap with bacon. The bacon has to be secured with […]
