These bacon wrapped jalapenos are so delicious that they should be outlawed. The fact that they can be assembled a day ahead so that all you need to do on serving day is to pop them into the oven makes them perfect for any get together. These are great as an appetizer for a family meal and are the perfect game time snack.
These are very easy to make. In fact, the recipe only contains 4 ingredients. The first thing you need to do is get some fresh jalapeno peppers. I usually buy 10 to 12 peppers for this recipe depending on their size.
Once I have my peppers, I cut them in half and remove the seeds and ribs from the inside of the peppers. This helps to cut down on the heat from the pepper. Some people recommend using gloves to perform this step, but it’s optional. If you don’t wear gloves, be careful to keep your hands away from your eyes.
The juice from jalapeno peppers in your eyes is very unpleasant. I speak from experience, and I don’t recommend it.
Once the peppers are cleaned and arranged on a baking sheet, the cheese and cream cheese mixture is placed in the peppers which are then wrapped with bacon. These stuffed and wrapped peppers are then baked until the bacon is crispy and the cheese filling gooey and delicious.
Let them sit for a few minutes before biting into them or you will burn your mouth. Again, I speak from experience. Here’s your recipe. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
