Pepperoni Pizza Crescents

Pepperoni Pizza Crescents

These Pepperoni Pizza Crescents are simple to make and are always a crowd pleaser.  They assemble in minutes, bake in 20, and are great when served as is or with a side of quick and easy pizza sauce.  These are a favorite with my family, and I know they’ll be a hit with your family, too.

These were our attempt at making homemade pizza rolls or calzones while using easy to find ingredients.   The finished product is delicious.   Everyone in our family loves them.Pepperoni Pizza CrescentsThese are very simple to make.  Remove the crescent rolls from the package and spread them out on a baking sheet.  Arrange 10 pieces of miniature pepperoni on the wide end of the dough triangle.  We chose to use miniature pepperoni because we like that they are already bite sized.  There’s no struggle when eating these.  You won’t pull an entire piece of pepperoni and all of the cheese out of the crescent with these.  Pepperoni Pizza CrescentsPlace 1/2 of a string cheese stick on top of the pepperoni.   Sue Chef wants me to advise you to NEVER use low fat cheese sticks because they don’t melt right.  Baker’s Man says they are fine either way, but I promised that I would share her message. We felt like half of a cheese stick was more than enough to provide a creamy contrast to the spiciness of the pepperoni, but you can put both halves inside the crescent if you so desire.  Pepperoni Pizza CrescentsThen all you need to do is roll it up.  When you’ve rolled up all 8 of them, stick them in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes.  The crescent rolls will be golden brown when they are fully cooked.  Pepperoni Pizza CrescentsThe finished crescent is delicious.  The gooey, melted cheese makes these perfect.  Pepperoni Pizza CrescentsIf you want to make things a little more exciting, you can serve the pepperoni pizza crescents with a side of marinara or some quick and easy pizza sauce for dipping.  These are great as an appetizer, but also make a great kid friendly lunch.
