Do you love that creamy, hot spinach and artichoke dip that is available as an appetizer in so many restaurants?  This creamy dip  tastes better, and it’s made entirely in a slow cooker.  It’s  so simple and delicious, you will find that you don’t need a special occasion to make it.  Served with  tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa, this is a definite crowd pleaser.   It’s sure to become a family favorite.

Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke DipOne of the best things about this slow cooker spinach artichoke dip recipe is that it only has 5 ingredients.  There’s a minimum of chopping.  All of the ingredients  can be poured into a small slow cooker, stirred, and allowed to cook for about 3 hours.   I used a very small dip sized cooker that was included with a larger one that I received as a gift.  It has only one temperature which I believe is equivalent to low.   I stirred it a couple of times during cooking, but otherwise, I was free to make other  foods to go on our buffet.  The dip cooked itself.Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke Dip

Creamy and delicious, this artichoke dip is a definite crowd pleaser. Cook's Note: If you don't have a slow cooker and don't want to wait 2 hours, mix all of the ingredients together and put it in a quart sized baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Ingredients
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained, and squeezed dry.
  • 2 cloves finely minced garlic
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into the ceramic crock of a small 1 quart slow cooker.
  2. Mix to combine.
  3. Turn cooker to low.
  4. Allow to cook for 2½ to 3 hours or until bubbly.
  5. Serve with a side of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa, or with pita chips or crackers.
