Blog vs Vlog–Winners

February has come and gone, and it’s time to announce the winner(s) of our blog vs. vlog competition.   This competition has been fun for both of us, and has helped to keep us motivated to stick to a regular posting schedule.   If you want to know what happened in during the month of February, keep reading.

Random Life Of A began this competition with a total of 139 views and only 8 videos.  During the month of February, he had planned to post only once per week, but he posted an additional 6 videos over the course of the month.  The Random Life of A channel gained 166 additional views.  He also gained 4 new subscribers.   All in all, Aaron was very happy with the results from this competition.

Patty Cakes Pantry had 584 views in the month of January, but only 483 views in the month of February.   This was in spite of adhering to the same twice per week publication schedule.  This was very disappointing to me.  I had hoped that I would continue to experience the same growth in visitors to my site that I had seen between December (422) and January (584).

The winner for the category of most increased views will go to Aaron and his YouTube Channel RandomLifeofA.  His award is that he gets to write a guest blog post on Patty Cake’s Pantry.  I can’t wait to see what he posts.  Check back often, or subscribe, to make sure you don’t miss it.

The winner for the most views in the month of February goes to me, Patti Cake, at Patty Cake’s Pantry.  I will be doing a guest video with Aaron on his channel, and I can hardly wait.  This going to be fun, but I hope it doesn’t affect my opinion about blogging being better than vlogging.

I have really enjoyed our month long competition, and I’m very glad that we both were winners.  I sincerely hope that this is the beginning of a cooperative collaboration between the two separate projects.  It would be nice to add video to Patty Cake’s Pantry, and Aaron will be a valuable resource to me.

As always, thanks for visiting Patty Cake’s Pantry.
