Patty Cake celebrates 200 posts

The 200th Post Party

With the publication of the recipe for Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes on June 11, 2016, Patty Cake’s Pantry marked its 200th post.  Because I pretty much abandoned blogging for several months last year due to work commitments outside of cyberspace, the arrival of this milestone was nearly two months late, but it finally arrived.  I’m only pointing this out to encourage others to keep working toward their goals and not give up.    Cyberspace is filled with abandoned and neglected blogs.

In honor of the occasion, we decided to have a small dinner party, but what does one serve at a dinner party celebrating 200 posts on a food blog?

The answer was simple.  Obviously, you serve recipes selected from the published posts by your dinner guests.  The combination that composed our menu might not meet with a gourmet’s approval, but it worked well for us.

For the appetizer, we served:

stuffed mushrooms are a deliciuos man pleasing treat.Stuffed Mushrooms

Shrimp with spinach, tomatoes, wine, garlic, and pasta. The entree was Shrimp  Florentine which we served with garlic bread.cupcake that is an icecream sundaeFor Dessert there were Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes, of course.

Our small group enjoyed the meal and discussed plans for the future.   It was fun to spend some time celebrating the achievement of our 200th post and looking forward to the future and growing our websites audience.

I would encourage other bloggers to celebrate any milestones they achieve with their blogs, too.  You work diligently to reach your goals, and you should recognize those accomplishments.  The last two months have been very exciting for Patty Cake’s Pantry.  The site’s Alexa Rank has increased, there are more visitors to the site, and it has been included in the list of America’s Best Food Blogs. Granted, as I write this, my site is ranked 912 out of 1,000, but at least I’m on the list.

I hope to continue to learn more about blogging and to keep creating new content for my blog.  I’m excited to see what the future holds for Patty Cake’s Pantry.

Have you achieved any milestones with your blog?  How did you celebrate?  Leave a comment below to share your successes with us.

Thanks for Visiting Patty Cake’s Pantry.

  1. Congrats on your 200th celebration.
What a great idea to honor your achievement with a party of favorite recipes. I am planning to research how many blogs I have published and celebrate this milestone.

    1. It was fun letting my guests pick the menut items from the blog. The next milestone I plan to celbrate is an Alexa rank under 10,000,000 or my 500th post, whichever comes first. Baker’s Man and I have a bet about which will happen first. We’ll see who wins our little wager. Your site is awesome and probably has over 1,000 posts.

  2. Thanks, Patty. We enjoy having you as a guest blogger. We checked our stats today, thanks to your inspiration.
After 40 more blogs I will celebrate the 500 mark. Our site has a total of several thousand blogs because my co-writer is very consistent. Now I have more incentive. I appreciate your encouragement … and innovative recipes from my pantry, without the 50 mile trek to a market.

    1. 50 miles is a very long trek to the store. You definitely need to have a well stocked pantry and a good shopping list. You don’t want to forget anything that you need when you make that trek. As part of your celebration, I think you should invent a special cocktail to commemorate your 500th post.
