With the publication of the recipe for Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes on June 11, 2016, Patty Cake’s Pantry marked its 200th post. Because I pretty much abandoned blogging for several months last year due to work commitments outside of cyberspace, the arrival of this milestone was nearly two months late, but it finally arrived. I’m only pointing this out to encourage others to keep working toward their goals and not give up. Cyberspace is filled with abandoned and neglected blogs.
In honor of the occasion, we decided to have a small dinner party, but what does one serve at a dinner party celebrating 200 posts on a food blog?
The answer was simple. Obviously, you serve recipes selected from the published posts by your dinner guests. The combination that composed our menu might not meet with a gourmet’s approval, but it worked well for us.
For the appetizer, we served:
Our small group enjoyed the meal and discussed plans for the future. It was fun to spend some time celebrating the achievement of our 200th post and looking forward to the future and growing our websites audience.
I would encourage other bloggers to celebrate any milestones they achieve with their blogs, too. You work diligently to reach your goals, and you should recognize those accomplishments. The last two months have been very exciting for Patty Cake’s Pantry. The site’s Alexa Rank has increased, there are more visitors to the site, and it has been included in the list of America’s Best Food Blogs. Granted, as I write this, my site is ranked 912 out of 1,000, but at least I’m on the list.
I hope to continue to learn more about blogging and to keep creating new content for my blog. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Patty Cake’s Pantry.
