Slow Cooker Appetizer Recipes

I love my slow cooker.  I add ingredients to the ceramic crock, and when I return,  there’s  a prepared entrée or even a complete meal.  My slow cooker is a life saver on busy weeknights.  Since this is October, a month being referred to as “Crocktober” in certain circles, I decided to share four of Patty Cake’s Pantry’s favorite slow cooker appetizer recipes.   After all, there are many reasons to gather together this month.  In addition to Halloween, there’s football and the World Series

Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms

Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms

Baker’s Man and I both love my Stuffed Mushrooms recipe, but I was wondering if there was another way to prepare them.    I decided to see if it was possible to create Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms.    The result was wonderful.  It was different than the original version in spite of almost identical ingredients, but it was still delicious.  It’s good to know that if my oven is otherwise occupied, I can make stuffed mushrooms in my slow cooker.

Slow cooker spinach artichoke dip

Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke Dip

Do you love that creamy, hot spinach and artichoke dip that is available as an appetizer in so many restaurants?  This creamy dip  tastes better, and it’s made entirely in a slow cooker.  It’s  so simple and delicious, you will find that you don’t need a special occasion to make it.  Served with  tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa, this is a definite crowd pleaser.   It’s sure to become a family favorite.
