Garlic Parmesan Butter

Garlic Parmesan Butter

Garlic Parmesan Butter is one of those things that I didn’t consider worthy of posting here until a friend wondered what I was doing to my butter.  It’s a simple process, and it surprised me that she’d never done this for herself.  Butter is allowed to soften at room temperature before garlic, herbs, and parmesan cheese are mixed into it.  Garlic Parmesan Butter can turn plain bread into garlic bread, and any grilled sandwich into something extraordinary.

Garlic Parmesan ButterI like to use a fork to mash the herbs, spices, and cheese into the butter because it seems to distribute it more evenly.  There’s a bit of scraping and mashing, but ultimately, the Garlic Parmesan Butter is ready for use. Garlic Parmesan Butter

Spreading Garlic Parmesan Butter onto a cheese sandwich before grilling takes it from mundane to gourmet, and meatloaf sandwiches are amazing when the bread is coated with Garlic Parmesan Butter.Garlic Parmesan ButterThis compound butter can be prepared ahead of time and stored in a covered container in the refrigerator.    We recommend allowing it to come to room temperature before spreading it on bread.  If adding to warm potatoes or cooked vegetables, there’s no need to soften it before adding it to the recipe.  Garlic Parmesan Butter
