Green beans, garlic, and ginger are cooked with ground beef and mixed with a simple teriyaki sauce to create a delicious and hearty meal that is sure to please your family.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked rice, white or brown
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 pound of lean ground beef (you can use any type of ground meat you prefer here)
- 1 pound fresh or frozen, cut green beans
- ½ to 1 cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
Instructions
- Mince garlic and grate ginger.
- Brown ground beef with ginger and garlic in a large and deep saute pan.
- When ground beef is done, drain fat from the skillet.
- Add green beans and ½ cup of water water.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes or until the beans are tender, adding up to ½ cup additional water if needed.
- Combine soy sauce and sugar, mixing until sugar is dissolved.
- Add soy sauce mixture to the sauce pan, mix well, and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
