Poached Eggs a la Italiana

Eggs poached in marinara sauce are a simple and delicious meal. Serve these eggs atop spaghetti or with some crusty bread. These eggs are surprisingly delicious.
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 6 eggs
  • Grated or Shredded Parmesan (about 1 tablespoon per egg, or to taste)
  1. Heat marinara sauce on stove to the boiling point.
  2. Make six wells in the marinara with the back of a spoon.
  3. Break eggs into the marinara sauce
  4. Cover pan with a lid and allow to cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until eggs are cooked to your desired consistency.
  5. Serve with crusty bread or atop spaghetti and sprinkle with shredded or grated cheese
