Fresh Fruit Pops or Fruit-sicles

Inserting popsicle sticks in melon wedges makes the perfect portable food for summer barbecues. Freezing wedges of watermelon, or other fruit, makes the perfect healthy popsicle for kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
  • ½ small watermelon cut into 1½ inch X 4-6 inch wedges
  • ½ cantaloupe, cut into 1½ inch X 4-6 inch wedges
  • 1 pineapple, cut into 1½ inch X 4-6 inch wedges
  • Food grade popsicle sticks
  • Lime wedges (optional)
  • Chile Seasoning (Tajin, Cielito, or Chile and Limon) to taste (optional)
Instructions
  1. Once fruit is cut, insert a popsicle stick half way into one end of the fruit.
  2. Arrange fruit on a platter and serve with optional lime wedges and chile seasoning on the side.
  3. Optional: Freeze some of the fruit wedges and serve them as frozen treats. Watermelon works well as a frozen treat.
