Grilled Marinated Flank Steak

Flank steak is perfect for marinating and grilling. This marinade, made from common pantry items, is delicious and makes for the perfect grilled steak. Total hands-on time is 20 minutes or less.
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about one clove)
  • 1½ pound flank steak (You can use up to a 2 or 3 pound flank steak with this recipe if you are feeding a larger crowd.)
  1. Mix together all marinade ingredients. (Everything above except for the steak).
  2. Pour into a shallow container large enough to hold the steak or into a zip top bag.
  3. This can then be refrigerated overnight or placed in the freezer until you're ready to grill it. If you choose to freeze the steak, allow it to thaw overnight in your refrigerator.
  4. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes per side. A thinner flank steak may require less time.
