Grilled Asparagus

Grilled asparagus is a healthy and delicious addition to your summer mortgage.
  • 32 medium sized asparagus spears
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher or coarse sea salt
  • 4 bamboo skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
  1. Trim the bottoms off of asparagus spears
  2. Arrange asparagus in rows of 8 spears.
  3. Carefully insert two skewers into each row of asparagus spears, pushing them through across the spears as in the photos above.
  4. Once eight spears are on the skewers, and pushed to the end of the skewer, cut the extra skewer off and reserve the pointed end. You will use this for the next bundle.
  5. Once you have assembled 4 sets of 8 asparagus spears, you are ready for the next step.
  6. Brush the asparagus on each side with the olive oil and then sprinkle with salt.
  7. Arrange asparagus skewers on the grill and grill over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the asparagus is tender.
