Beef and Green Bean Teriyaki

Green beans, garlic, and ginger are cooked with ground beef and mixed with a simple teriyaki sauce to create a delicious and hearty meal that is sure to please your family.
  • 3 cups cooked rice, white or brown
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 pound of lean ground beef (you can use any type of ground meat you prefer here)
  • 1 pound fresh or frozen, cut green beans
  • ½ to 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  1. Mince garlic and grate ginger.
  2. Brown ground beef with ginger and garlic in a large and deep saute pan.
  3. When ground beef is done, drain fat from the skillet.
  4. Add green beans and ½ cup of water water.
  5. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes or until the beans are tender, adding up to ½ cup additional water if needed.
  6. Combine soy sauce and sugar, mixing until sugar is dissolved.
  7. Add soy sauce mixture to the sauce pan, mix well, and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
