Roasted Bratwurst and Potatoes

Bratwurst and potatoes are roasted in a hot oven to make a simple and delicious one pan meal. Cook's Note: To ensure that both sides of your bratwurst are browned, you can turn them over for the last 10 minutes of cooking. Otherwise, the side that's next to the potatoes will look steamed. To make clean up even easier, you can line your baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Total Cost of Recipe: $4.90 or $0.98 per serving.
  • 1½ pounds red potatoes, cut into 1½ to 2 inch pieces ($1.35)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil ($0.28)
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt ($0.28)
  • 1 pound package of Bratwurst ($2.99)
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Spray a 9X13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Arrange potato pieces in pan.
  4. Drizzle potatoes with olive oil and toss until evenly coated with oil.
  5. Arrange potatoes in an even layer in the bottom of the pan.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with seasoned salt.
  7. Arrange bratwurst on top of potatoes.
  8. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour (Until bratwurst are cooked through and potatoes are cooked and beginning to brown.)
