Bubble Pizza

Bubble Pizza

Bubble Pizza has been known by many names.  I’ve heard it called bubble up pizza, bubble pizza casserole, bubble up pizza casserole, and there are probably a few other names to which  I haven’t been introduced.  No matter what you call it, this recipe for Bubble Pizza will become a regular on your weeknight meal plan. Bubble Pizza is a simple weeknight dinner that’s made in one pan. It’s a great way to use up leftover spaghetti sauce and other odds and ends, and kids love it. Of course, it can also be made from fresh ingredients. The thick biscuit […]

Hot Shrimp and Artichoke Dip

Hot Shrimp and Artichoke Dip

I love hot and creamy dips.  This recipe for Hot Shrimp and Artichoke Dip is simple, amazing, and very easy to make.  It’s a variation on my slow cooker spinach artichoke dip, but it ‘s made in the oven.  Of course, it’s winter, so I don’t mind turning on the oven,  In the summer I might have a different opinion.

Italian Style Tilapia

Tilapia del Estilo Italiano

Italian Style Tilapia is another sheet pan dinner, but in my case, I prepare it in a 9X13 inch pan.  This recipe is very simple.  The ingredients are layered in a prepared baking pan before being placed in the oven and baked.  The best part is that the Tilapia is baked from the frozen state, so it’s a great dish if you’ve forgotten to thaw the meat for dinner.   Italian style tilapia practically prepares itself.

Shrimp Pasta Primavera

Shrimp Pasta Primavera

This recipe for Shrimp Pasta Primavera is a great way to add more vegetables to your family’s diet.  We love pasta here at Patty Cake’s Pantry.   Whether it’s because of my Italian heritage, or because pasta dishes are a frugal way to feed our hungry family, is up for debate.  What’s not up for debate, is that this recipe  for Shrimp Pasta Primavera is delectable.

Sue Chef’s Alfredo Sauce

This is a simple and fool proof recipe for Alfredo sauce that’s rich and creamy.  Sue Chef and Baker’s Man created it one day when we had no jars of Alfredo Sauce in the house.  This recipe creates a quick and delicious sauce, and once you’ve made this homemade version, you will never buy the Alfredo sauce in jars again.  Everyone thinks that Alfredo sauce goes best with fettuccine.  It’s quite good that way, and our photos show it served with fettuccine, but we believe that Sue Chef’s Alfredo Sauce is best served over a pasta that really holds onto […]

Chicken Linguine Alfredo

Chicken Linguine Alfredo

Alfredo is a huge favorite in our household, so I couldn’t let a month of canned recipes go by without trying to make a version of Chicken Linguine Alfredo using canned food.    The specific canned ingredients chosen for this recipe were canned milk and canned chicken, and the result was delicious.  In fact,  I may use canned milk in my Alfredo more often.

Spaghetti Bolognese with Mushrooms

Spaghetti Bolognese with Mushrooms

Who doesn’t love spaghetti?   This recipe for Spaghetti Bolognese with Mushrooms is a 30 days of cans twist on the recipe.  This version is shelf stable, simple to prepare, and delicious, too.  I love to add mushrooms to spaghetti sauce.  They seem to make simple canned, or jarred, sauce into something special.   We eat spaghetti often in my household, and this recipe is one of our favorites for a busy weeknight.

Baked Breaded Ranch Chops

Baked Breaded Pork Chops are delicious any day of the week, and this version, dipped in ranch dressing before breading, is baked, instead of fried, which helps to save a few calories.  These are delicious, easy to make, and family friendly.

Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms

Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms

Baker’s Man and I both love my Stuffed Mushrooms recipe, but I was wondering if there was another way to prepare them.    I decided to see if it was possible to create Slow Cooker Stuffed Mushrooms.    The result was wonderful.  It was different than the original version in spite of almost identical ingredients, but it was still delicious.  It’s good to know that if my oven is otherwise occupied, I can make stuffed mushrooms in my slow cooker.
